The Ferriere Valley

The Ferriere valley is one of the most beautiful and most visited places in Amalfi.

It is situated in the higher part of Amalfi where there was once an ironworks, hence the name of the valley.

From the 70’s onwards the area was declared to be a National Reserve in order to protect its ecosystem characteristics which have helped to preserve numerous examples of prehistoric ferns called Woodwardia radicans.

Nowadays it is visited by thousands of hikers from all over the world who come to visit the Amalfi Coast. It is not uncommon to meet them with their rucksacks on and their hiking poles in their hands whilst they cross the various pathways that join Amalfi to other nearby locations.

Our B&B is located right at the start of one of these pathways and overlooks the Ferriere Valley and its breathtaking views.

Their are grocery shops, restaurants and bars situated near the B&B.
